Come September

Having recently found (and watched) the documentary, We.

If you’ve about an hour free (and even if you do not), you should watch it. If you’re interested in the speech, un-edited (and it was fairly fabulously edited), you can watch Arundhati Roy’s famous speech, Come September, here:

Should you get a chance – especially those under collapsed bridges, flooded cities, and whatnot – I recommend also, highly, that you get a hold of her book The Chequebook and the Cruise Missile, a compilation of interviews with Roy, circa 2001-3, while she was, in particular, opposing the Narmada dam (see the dam, live, here).
